Lapwing- Fitting & Positioning Machinery

Lapwing is at the stage of fitting & positioning machinery. The engine bearers, shaft and stern tube are fitted in preparation of the engine installation proper. The engine which will shortly be offered up for final positioning, is a twin cylinder "Beta Diesle", custom prepared to NBYCo's own heavy duty specefication, including hot water take off and twin alternators for separate engine and domestic battery charging. Also at this stage, the foredeck structure is nearing completion and the first bulkhead patterns are offered up.
